Same arithmetic the Vapend app uses:
monthly = units per week × price × 4.345
yearly = monthly × 12
daily = monthly ÷ 30.437
4.345 is the average number of weeks in a month and 30.437 the average number of days, so the figure does not drift depending on which month you happen to be in.
A disposable every two days at about $9 works out near $1,640 a year. One a day at the same price is closer to $3,280. A refillable device with bottled liquid is usually cheaper per millilitre, but still recurring — most people land somewhere between $800 and $3,000 a year without ever seeing the total, because it leaves in $9 pieces.
